Postavka motocikala u BMW Classic-u

Osim muzeja u kome je za široke narodne mase izložen jedan deo, možda najvažniji, istorije BMW motocikala u Classic odeljenju postoji možda još zanimljivija zbirka zanimljivih mašina. Ipak zbog politike firme nije baš svakome dozvoljeno da je i pogleda.

U Classic odeljenju posebno mesto je posvećeno motociklima koji su obeležili istoriju bavarske fabrike. Za razliku od muzejske postavke u kojoj se nalaze perfektno restaurirane mašine, filozofija u Classic-u je nešto drugačija. Gotovo sve mašine su u voznom stanju i aktivno se voze kako na skupovima ljubitelja određenih modela tako i na trkama i manifestacijama oldtajmera.

I ako nedostaje prvi model R32, koji zauzima počasno mesto u muzeju, njegovo mesto sasvim uspešno popunjava njegova trkačka, kompresor, varijanta koja predstavlja prvi primerak jednog motocikla sa forsiranim punjenjem vazduhom. Ovaj koncept je postigao zapažen uspeh na sportskom frontu sa više osvojenih trka u periodu od 1929. do početka drugog svetskog rata među kojima se posebno izdvajaju prve dve pozicije na prestižnoj trci oko ostrva Man. Pobeda je ostvarena 1939. godine na drugoj verziji Kompressor mašine kodne oznake 225 koja je imala dve bregaste u glavi kao i zadnje ogibljenje koju je vozio Georg Meier koji je time postigao prvu pobedu jednog stranog motocikla i stranog vozača na toj prestižnoj trci dok je Jock West stigao kao drugoplasirani vozeći istovetnu mašinu.

U postavku su iz prvih dana BMW-a uvršteni još i R12 kao prvi motocikl sa hidrauličnim ogibljenjem kao i R27 koji predstavlja poslednji BMW motocikl sa kardanskim vratilom koje pogoni samo jedan cilindar kao i R68, prvi BMW-ov posleratni motocikl kao i prvi velikoserijski evropski motocikl koji je mogao ići brže od 100 milja na sat, odnosno 160 km/h.

Izložen je i model R80G/S kojim je BMW započeo izradu motocikala dvostruke namene, kako za vožnju van puta (Gelände) tako i na putu (Straße). U delu gde su izloženi modeli C1, terenska i Louis Vuitton verzija, koji su predstavljali BMW-ovu viziju urbanog vozila na dva točka a koja je uprkos lošoj prodaji stekla pravi kult poklonika čak i u Italiji nalazi se i jedno iznenađenje. Pravi pravcati BMW skuter iz 1950.

Prvi, i do pojave C1, jedini skuter koji je BMW ikad napravio; imao je prilično nesrećnu sudbinu da ne dobije čak ni oznaku modela pošto je odmah nakon izrade izloženog protipa odlučeno da BMW neće ići u tom pravcu. Čelnicima kompanije koji su ga provozali se nije dopalo to što je u pitanju predstavljao jeftino prevozno sredstvo za široke narodne mase a to pedesetih nije bio pravac u kome je BMW želeo da ide tako da je projekat BMW skutera ubrzo zaboravljen samo da bi se ponovo aktivirao nakon pedesetak godina.

Važan deo postavke su i motocikli namenjeni sportskim takmičenjima koje variraju od drumskih takmičenja dvotočkaša iz pedesetih, preko pobednika Dakar relija, specijalno modifikovanog C1 skutera, šampionskih prikoličara, vazdušno hlađenih HP2 motocikla sa trka izdržljivost pa sve do trenutnih S1000RR koji su do nedavno učestvovali u Superbike trkama kako na domaćem tako i na svetskom nivou. Neizostavno je i pominjanje BMW motocikala specijalno pripremljenih za snage reda i zakona stariji model K75 je pripadao Nemačkoj policiji zaduženoj za autobahn dok je noviji K1200GT pripadao drumskoj policiji Kalifornije. Deo kolekcije su i specijalni motocikli, derivati serijskih ali napravljeni za specijalne prilike i promocije poput K1300R modela namenjenog promociji filma „Resident Evil“.

Ono što izuzima BMW Classic od ostalih, uslovno rečeno, muzejskih postavki širom sveta je to da, osim što je prilično zatvorenog tipa, u Classic-u mašine ne čuvaju pod staklenim zvonom već ih konstantno otpremaju na razne sajmove i okupljanja kako u nemačkoj tako i u Evropi pa postavka nikad nije 100% kompletna. To je moguće iz samo jednog razloga, BMW Classic je vlasnih svih vozila u svojoj postavci pa tako čelni ljudi imaju potpunu slobodu odlučivanja gde i kako će se koja mašina nalaziti.
